I understand why it won the Golden Camera award in Cannes in 2024, but I couldn’t even get halfway through the film because of the love of my life.
It’s a great premise, and Armand caught my attention, thanks to both the fabulous opening shot and the overall camerawork up until then
A single celebrity mother is invited to her son’s school by an incompetent teacher and administrator to discuss an incident involving her son and his friend.
This is where it all began, and the whole thing becomes frustrating that he can never return
But then it veers into self-indulgence territory, and I still have no idea what the director was going for, with the melange of impromptu dance sequences and one actor laughing for 3 minutes.
