He’s smart
He’s beloved. He’s Dexter Morgan, America’s favorite serial killer who spends his days solving crimes and his nights committing them. In Season 8, Angel Batista was not always played by David Zayas.
His son David Zayas Jr
replaces his father in some shots, as the two look very much alike. Visible throughout the first season, Dexter has a large scar on his left side. Later in Season 2, the scar moved to the right side, leaving his left side without a mark.

Dexter creates a believable and very detailed portrayal of, let’s say, a troubled sociopath
Dexter, a forensic scientist by day, a serial killer with a touch of lynching by night. One of the parts of the show that I like the most is the emotions that normal people show, thus forcing Dexter to imitate them. Good laughs when Dexter’s fake emotions become real and he is scared to death, as in his relationship with his “girlfriend” Rita, a mother of two and victim of his abusive ex-boyfriend.
Exciting story, lots of detail and one of the best opening sequences ever
I also liked Jennifer Carpenter’s acting as Dexter’s sister Debra, she adds a nice touch to the show without being cliché.
